Payment methods
Parent Events offers two methods of payment for starting or renewing a subscription, and for buying event credits if you are on the pay-as-you-go model.
Credit card
Paying by credit card is the recommended method because it takes effect instantly. As soon as the payment goes through your subscription is active again, or your event credits are added to your account, and you can publish events straight away.
When you need to start or renew your subscription:
- Sign in as a Financial Manager or Administrator, and visit the Settings page.
- Visit the Billing section.
- Ensure your subscription interval is correct (yearly or monthly)
- Click the Pay using Credit Card button.
- You'll be prompted to enter your card details and be shown the amount you'll be charged for your subscription. Once your payment is successful, your subscription is active straight away.
Parent Events uses Stripe as a payment processor using tokenized payments, meaning your credit card details are not stored or transmitted using Parent Events for your security.
Invoice
You can generate an invoice for the amount payable, either for your subscription or for a number of event credits. This can be useful if your school isn't able to pay using a credit card.
- Sign in as a Financial Manager or Administrator, and visit the Settings page.
- Visit the Billing section.
- For a subscription, ensure your interval is correct (yearly or monthly). For event credits, choose how many you need.
- Click Request an invoice.
- Your invoice will start to download after a few seconds.
Your invoice will contain the deposit information needed to complete the payment.
Payment using an invoice may take several days to process before your subscription or credits are applied. If you require a faster turnaround, please get in touch with us and we'll see what we can do.
It's important that the reference listed at the bottom of the invoice is used as part of your bank transfer, so we can identify your payment with the invoice and avoid delays in applying it.
We no longer accept check or money order payments for subscription renewals.
