Billing
Parent Events works in two ways, and you can move between them whenever it suits your school. You can pay as you go, buying a credit for each event you want to publish, or you can subscribe for a flat fee and run unlimited events.
Your first event is free
When you first sign up to Parent Events, you get one free event so you can set everything up and see whether it is a good fit for your school. There is no time limit on this, so you can take as long as you need before you publish.
Pay as you go
On the pay-as-you-go model you buy event credits, and each credit lets you publish one event. You can buy as many as you need at once and spend them whenever you publish, so a school that runs only a couple of events a year never pays for time it isn't using.
To buy credits, sign in as a Finance Manager or Administrator and open the Billing section of the Settings page. You can pay by card for instant access, or request an invoice to pay by bank transfer.
Subscribing for unlimited events
If you run events regularly, a subscription is usually better value. A subscription removes the per-event credit entirely and lets you publish as many events as you like for a flat fee.
Monthly vs yearly pricing
Parent Events offers either monthly or yearly pricing. Your plan can be switched from the Billing section of the Settings page, and the change is reflected when your subscription renews.
- Yearly pricing offers more of a discount than monthly billing.
- Monthly pricing offers more flexibility if you only run one or two events a year.
What happens when a subscription ends
If a renewal payment fails, or you decide not to continue a subscription, you keep full access to your account, and every event you have already published keeps running exactly as before.
The public event website stays online at your usual address, parents keep registering and managing their bookings, and all event emails and reminders continue to go out, so families with bookings already in their calendar are never disrupted.
The only thing that pauses is publishing new events. To publish another event you simply subscribe again, or buy an event credit, in the same way you would have when you first started. Finance Managers and Administrators can do either from the Billing section of the Settings page at any time, and the ability to publish returns straight away.
