Why can't families find or open our event?

Check these in order. Each one stops families reaching the event in a different way.

Is it published?

Events in draft are hidden from families, and their event code doesn't work. Publish the event when you're ready for families to register.

Is it private?

Private events aren't listed on your event website. Families need the event code, or a link that includes it. If you want families to find the event themselves, make it public from the event's settings. See event visibility.

Has it opened yet?

Until the event's open date, its event code takes families back to your event website's homepage rather than into the event. This is on purpose: families can't register or book before the event opens. Let families know when it opens, or bring the open date forward.

Has it closed?

Once the close date has passed, new families can't register. Families who already registered can still sign in to see their bookings.

Is it invite only?

If the event needs an invite code, each family needs their own code to register, whether the event is public or private. Check that codes have been generated and sent out.

Are families on the right website?

Your event website's address is set under Settings > Website. If it's changed recently, any links you sent before the change won't work. Send families the current address, or a fresh link to the event.
