Can a family book the same teacher for two children?
Yes, if the event's booking limit allows it. Which limit you choose decides this.
- Bookings per staff member, for each student (the soft limit): a family can book each teacher once for every child they've added. A family with two children can book the same teacher twice. This is usually the best choice when siblings share teachers.
- Bookings per staff member (the hard limit, and the default for parent-teacher conferences): every family gets the same number of bookings with each teacher, however many children they have. With a limit of one, siblings who share a teacher get one booking between them.
- Total bookings: a family can make this many bookings in total, with any mix of teachers.
Change the limit in the event's settings. It applies to new bookings straight away. Existing bookings are never cancelled, even if a family is now over the new limit.
Can they book both children at the same time?
No. A family can only have one booking at any one time, so two bookings with the same teacher need to be at different times. They can book two times next to each other: the booking buffer only applies between different teachers.
Can staff book past the limit?
Yes. When staff make a booking on a family's behalf, the booking limit is shown as a warning rather than a block. See booking a time families can't.
